About Goodstart Mill Park Centenary Drive
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Mill Park – Centenary Drive is located in the outer suburbs of Melbourne and is close to many new developing housing estates. There is public transport access at the front of the centre and we are very close to a new Westfield shopping centre and a number of new schools.
Our team of educators and carers is highly experienced, dedicated and very friendly. They strive to implement a fun play based learning program that gives our children a great start to their education.
Inside, all of the rooms - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school.
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability. Our three areas are decked out with sandpits, tan bark floors, a stage, wooden pirate ship, water pump, dry creek bed and vege patch with worm farm and compost area.
We have a qualified cook who cooks fresh, healthy and nutritious meals for the children each day. The centre provides all meals during the day, including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack.
A major focus for our centre is how working with the broader community can help us enrich the children’s learning experience. Through visits to the centre as well as excursions and participation in community events, we are able to deepen the relationship between the centre and the community, while teaching the children about being a contributing and active member of society.
We encourage families to be part of our centre and have many special days where families are invited to come and join in the experience, such as Mother's Day, Father's Day, Grandparent's Day, Christmas Party and Kinder Graduation Day.
Come in and see for yourself how we can help give your child the best start in life – and give you peace of mind! We would love the chance to show you around.
