About Goodstart Mill Park University Drive
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Mill Park - University Drive is situated behind McDonald's on Plenty Road, Mill Park. Our centre is not far from the Western Ring Road and is only a short trip from Westfield and University Hill shopping centre. The centre is in close proximity to public and private schools, shops and RMIT University.
We have highly experienced and qualified friendly staff, many of whom are long term employees of Goodstart Early Learning. This team is dedicated to providing high quality care to our children and their families in a warm, nurturing environment.
Our centre is purpose built with age appropriate outdoor learning spaces. Inside, all of the rooms - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities.
Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school.
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability. Our three play areas feature a variety of natural and manmade elements including sandpits, vege gardens, worm farm, compost bin, climbing equipment and lots of space and shade to run around.
We offer a multicultural nationally balanced 4 week rotating menu across all ages and through our educators and family community, we celebrate diversity and an understanding of many different cultures.
Adding to the sense of community, visits to the centre as well as excursions and participation in community events. Through this, we are able to deepen the relationship between the centre and the community, while teaching the children about being a contributing and active member of society.
Drop in and say hello! We would love to make you and your family welcome and the centre and discuss how we can start your child on a journey of lifelong learning.
