About Goodstart Nuriootpa
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Nuriootpa is located in the beautiful Barossa Valley among the grape vines of the district. We are tucked away in the quiet of suburbia but still close enough to schools, amenities and transport to be convenient – especially for the daily drop-off and pick-up!
We are open 52 weeks of the year and only closed on public holidays. We have two Nursery rooms, a toddler room and a Kindy-run program for Kindergarten / Preschool aged children. We recently received a rating of Exceeding on the National Quality Framework Assessment which we are very proud of achieving.
Our centre carers pride themselves on delivering a fun and educational learning experience for each child in their care. We work in close collaboration with parents and families to ensure the individual needs and character of the child are factored into the learning experience and our curriculum is developed in line with the Early Years Learning Framework.
Our outdoor learning environments are designed around purpose-built playgrounds with sandpits, vege patches, herb gardens and deciduous trees. We like to think there is a touch of home in the centre.
At Goodstart Nuriootpa we offer you the ability to keep up to date with what your child is doing at our centre through “StoryPark”. This is an interactive web app where we send you your child’s observations and stories for the month and you can give us feedback straight away. You can also invite other family members to join your account so that they can also keep in touch with what is happening in the centre.
At Goodstart Nuriootpa, we are forging a strong bond with the local school which is next door to the centre. We enjoy celebrating special events such as Special Friends Day, Graduation, and our Christmas Party.
We look forward to welcoming you to our centre.

Kristy Spicer Centre Director
Hello and welcome to Goodstart Nuriootpa. My name is Kristy Spicer and I am the Director here at Goodstart Early Learning Centre, Nuriootpa.
I am passionate about early childhood education. I am a mother to four children of my own and feel privileged to be able to support families and children through their early years.
I have completed my Diploma in Children’s Services and have been working in Goodstart Centres since 2010, where I began my journey as a student. I have worked across all rooms and age groups and worked in a variety of different roles.
Here at Goodstart Nuriootpa we offer a warm, welcoming and secure environment for all the children and families.
I believe through our key educator approach, myself and the other educators are able to build a connection with each individual child and their families. Through Key educator relationships, each individual child shapes their own educational program and routine. Every child has a safe and secure base and a champion, an educator they have developed a positive attachment with.
“Every child deserves a champion, an adult who will never give up on them, who understands them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be".
Here at Goodstart Nuriootpa we provide a safe and secure space for your child to grow and explore through play based learning. A warm and welcoming environment, for all children and families.
I look forward to meeting with you and your family.
