Nestled in the heart of the Barossa, Goodstart Nuriootpa offers early learning and care for children from six weeks to five years. Our centre is built on Ngadjuri, Peramangk and Kaurna Country.

We have four bright and spacious rooms, from nursery to preschool, with newly renovated outdoor play spaces that encourage active, nature-based learning.

At Goodstart Nuriootpa, our philosophy centres around the belief that every child is a unique individual with their own interests and strengths. We embrace a play-based learning approach that nurtures curiosity and creativity, allowing children to explore their world in meaningful ways.

Through our philosophy, we aim to create a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive and become confident, capable learners. 
Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children. Your child will have at least one educator (their key educator) who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them. 
Our Key Educator relationships help children form secure attachments. Educators work closely with smaller groups and individual children to better understand each child. These relationships lead to improved outcomes for children as we foster more communication between families and educators. 
We inform families regularly about their child's progress and welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.  
At our Nuriootpa centre, we're proud to inspire your child's love of learning with the support of our passionate and qualified early childhood experts. Teachers with bachelor's degrees run our preschool program, so children can be well on their way to excellent learning outcomes by the time they start reception.

From our first tour to our son’s first days at daycare, the team at Goodstart in Nuriootpa has been amazing. They’ve gone above and beyond for our family, and nothing has ever been too much trouble for them. I love getting daily photo updates about what our little guy has been up to. As a first-time mum, leaving him was never going to be easy, but the staff made the transition much smoother than I expected. Within just a couple of weeks, I noticed a positive change in him—he came home with a newfound sense of confidence. Hi, I’m Megan, and I am the new Centre Director for Goodstart Early Learning, Nuriootpa.

I am the Mum to a beautiful daughter, who I was privileged to see learn and grow through Goodstart, and believe that these first years of a child’s life are fundamental stepping stones to learning and development.

With almost 20 years’ experience in Early Childhood Education and Care, I’m passionate about creating welcoming, supportive spaces where every child feels heard, valued, and encouraged to be themselves. I hold my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, and qualifications in Training & Assessment.

I believe education is a pillar to supporting children to become curious, confident, lifelong learners. By giving them the right tools, guidance, and encouragement, I help them thrive both socially and academically. Every child is unique, and my goal is to make sure each one feels included and supported every step of the way.

At Nuriootpa, you and your child can enjoy the best of both worlds. Our centre offers a preschool program and long day care under the one roof. Our preschool teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.

The above fees are effective from 7 July 2025 and are based on a 10 hour session, for attendance between 2 and 4 days per week. 5 day bookings receive a generous discount per day. Note that different combinations of sessions times and number of days can increase or decrease the daily rate.
