About Goodstart Shepparton Bourchier Street
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Shepparton - Bourchier Street is conveniently located next to Bourchier Street Primary School.
Our child care centre caters for children from six weeks to five years of age. Our centre features spacious rooms, large play areas, and a dedicated sleeping room for the babies.
We believe that every child is unique with their own thoughts, dreams, strengths and preferences, and we incorporate these individual elements into our educational programming. We also provide a Kindergarten program administered by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher.
Our dedicated team of educators all have unique and diverse personalities and skills. We strive to develop close relationships with all children and families at our centre, to ensure the highest quality learning environment for the children.
Our play based, stimulating curriculum is based on the Early Years’ Learning Framework and our rooms – from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool – are all geared with this in mind. We also develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling.
This is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.
Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces – with sandpits, fort, trees, vege garden, worm farm, compost and bike path. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.
We have a qualified cook who cooks fresh, healthy and nutritious meals for the children each day. The centre provides all meals during the day, including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack.
A major focus for our centre is how working with the broader community can help us enrich the children’s learning experience. Through visits to the centre as well as excursions and participation in community events, we are able to deepen the relationship between the centre and the community, while teaching the children about being a contributing and active member of society.
We offer families the opportunity to access an additional year of funded kindergarten for their child.
We look forward to meeting you and your family and exploring how we can provide you with the highest quality in early learning and child care.
