Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre at Underdale opened in 2019. Our newly constructed centre features six separate, naturally inspired learning spaces, each with direct access to our landscaped designed outdoor environment providing children with the opportunity to move freely between the indoor and outdoor. Our environments have been specifically designed to engage, challenge and excite the children throughout all of their developmental stages.

We provide high quality education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. Using the Early Years Learning Framework to guide our education program and scaffold children’s learning, our educators are passionate and committed to providing nurturing and simulating early learning environment. With a strong commitment and focus to create a warm and welcoming community focused centre we look forward to building and maintaining meaningful and true relationships with all our families and children.

After looking at a number of centres, I finally found one I fell in love with. I was super anxious about leaving my 4.5mth old in care, but the team at Underdale have made the transition so easy and comfortable. All staff have gone above and beyond to help our little girl and we are so thankful for the love and time they give her :)

I like that it’s an educational based facility with the small ratio of children and wonderful teachers and exposes your child to different aspects of learning through sensory and play. Ever since enrolling my kid I’ve seen many improvements. This place is great.The classrooms were clean and the toys looks all new. Great playground with which is really nice and different from other preschools. All my questions were kindly answered and when I thought of more questions at a later time, they were happy to answer them too! I would really recommend this place to everyone with little ones.

Raj Sohi

Centre Director

My Name is Rajandep Sohi (Raj) and I have been working in the early learning sector for more than 14 years.

I have studied for 3 years in Children Services and started working in the early learning sector in 2010. I've always been passionate about working with children and I find it very rewarding to watch them learn and grow. I started my career with Goodstart Early Learning Nightcliff in the Northern Territory in 2012.

I love working at Goodstart Underdale because it's such a fun and enjoyable place to be. We are like a big family. Getting to know the children and their families is so rewarding and, as a parent myself, I can appreciate how important the relationships are between families and educators.

I take great pride in knowing that our centre will be the one that strives for excellence and quality in childcare while promoting our cooperative spirit.

In my role as Centre Director I will strive to make the centre welcoming, inviting, and a positive place for all children, families, and Educators.
