Structured Preschool Program

At Cooranbong, you and your child can enjoy the best of both worlds. Our centre offers a preschool program and long day care under the one roof. Our preschool teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.

Intentional teaching involves educators being purposeful, thoughtful, and deliberate in their teaching strategies. When using small, age-appropriate groups, educators carefully group children based on their ages and year they will transition into school. Activities are planned to support specific outcomes, allowing Educators to guide learning more directly while still following children’s cues and interests and overall goals.

Our Preschool Aged intentional teaching group is taken through a ‘school readiness’ program throughout their last year of Preschool. A school readiness program in the final year of preschool focuses on preparing children holistically—socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively—for their transition to primary school. The program is play-based but intentionally structured to build the skills, routines, and confidence needed for success in a classroom environment.
