Close community, nature, and family life for educators in Tasmania
Kadie Cunningham, Assistant Director of Goodstart Kings Meadows, moved back for a better life.
Our centre is located in the local community of Corrimal in Wollongong, conveniently located on Midgley St, not far from the main business precinct. We educate and care for children between six weeks old and six years old across three indoor learning spaces and two outdoor environments. Our learning environments at Goodstart Corrimal are designed with a focus on natural play spaces, featuring large logs, outdoor kitchens, sandstone boulders, sandpits and slides, compost bins, worm farms and water tanks - all designed to support children to interact with and care for our natural environment.
Our early learning educational programs cater to each individual child's stage of development, from six weeks of age to preschool-aged children. Our curriculum is centred around the Early Years Learning Framework and is tailored to your child's unique strengths, needs and interests. We use Storypark to document your child's progress of learning, which you can view at any time.
With a highly experienced team on board, Goodstart Corrimal offers your family high quality early learning and care. All of our experienced educators hold formal qualifications - either a Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching, Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services - and are passionate about delivering a leading early learning curriculum in a welcoming and inspiring environment. Our school-readiness goals focus on supporting children to successfully transition to school and we have close connections with local schools such as Corrimal Public School
We have eight car spaces conveniently located right outside our centre’s doors for drop offs and pick-ups.

Welcome to Goodstart Early Learning Corrimal!
I have been working in the Early Childhood Education and Care sector for over 15 years. During this time, I completed my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. I have had the pleasure of being part of the Goodstart Corrimal community for more than 8 years. Throughout my time here, I have worked across all rooms and held various leadership roles, including Safety Champion and Assistant Director, before stepping into my current role as Centre Director.
At Goodstart Corrimal, we are committed to building safe, trusting relationships with children, families, and the wider community. We understand the importance of creating a secure and welcoming environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging. Through our Key Educator Approach and the Circle of Security framework, we strive to build meaningful connections with children, working together to support their growth and empower educators to provide a nurturing “safe space” for self-expression and development.
My educational philosophy is centred on fostering an inclusive learning environment that supports each child’s holistic development: cognitive, social-emotional, and physical. I strongly believe in the power of collaboration between educators, families, and the community. When families are involved as partners, we can create continuity between home and the centre, helping children to thrive in all areas of their development.
As Centre Director, I aim to create a supportive and empowering environment that encourages collaboration, professional growth, and excellence within our team. I believe in leading by example, promoting open communication, trust, and mutual respect. I value the unique strengths and contributions each team member brings.
I warmly invite you to visit Goodstart Corrimal. Please feel free to stop by, meet our wonderful team, and see our centre in action.
We look forward to welcoming new families into our community.
