About our centre

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Dubbo - Wheelers Lane is temporarily closed until further notice, due to flood related projects. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and look forward to providing care in the coming months.

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Dubbo - Wheelers Lane is located in a residential area, close to schools, shops and main roads making the daily drop-off and pick-up more convenient.

Our centre is equipped with large classrooms – from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - and playgrounds, catering for children aged from six weeks through to five years. We also offer before and after school care and vacation care for children up to 12 years of age. We cater for each child at an individual level through play-based learning, in order to inspire a love of learning and investigation.

Our dedicated educators are experienced and strive to create learning experiences that are culturally diverse, fun and educational. They provide children with the knowledge and skills that will help them to become confident and independent learners. Educators regularly attend professional development opportunities to keep up-to-date with best practice in early learning and development.

Our main playground features a large sandpit and digging pit; a chicken coop; vegetable and herb gardens; worm farm and compost bin. There is also a large play fort with a slide. The second playground was specially designed for children under the age of 2, and features a sandpit with outdoor mud kitchen, vegetable and herb gardens, a stage for dancing and other developmentally-appropriate equipment.

We engage in sustainable practices including gardening, composting and worm farms. Our centre remains engaged with the local community through centre events and working partnerships with community organisations. We look forward to working with you and your family.

We communicate with our families through a range of methods including quality conversations, newsletters, emails, and parent feedback forms and surveys. Children’s learning and development is documented and shared with families through visual displays, project work, photos and learning journals.

Our Storypark platform also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.

We have a cook at the centre providing tasty and nutritious meals for the children when tummies start to growl and all nappies are provided.

Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.

There is nothing more important to a parent and a family than the peace of mind that your child is in good hands. Come in and see how we can support you and your child on this all-important early years’ journey.
