Live and work where you holiday as a Goodstart educator in Cairns
Sara Thao shares all about her life and thriving early learning career in Regional QLD.
I hold a Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) and I have 20 years experience in the Early Childhood sector. I am excited to begin my management journey with this team at Goodstart South Nowra after holding the position of Assistant Director for two years.
I'm an advocate for children’s learning and I feel the most rewarding part of my job is watching the children grow and develop through their early years. This is best achieved through Key Educator Relationships, which I’m proud to say is embedded in our centre. Connections and relationships are the core of everything we do at Goodstart South Nowra.
We are focused on building and developing our Curriculum to ensure all children and families feel a sense of belonging. Inclusion and support for all members of our “family” is important to us.
As Centre Director, I endeavour to support the educators to provide the children with a learning environment which will foster each child’s individual growth and development. I also look forward to guiding and mentoring the team in their professional Early Childhood careers.
I believe positive relationships with families will assist me in providing high quality education for all children and I strive to ensure the lines of communication are always open.
“Learning Outcomes are more likely to be achieved when early childhood educators work in partnerships with families” (Belonging, Being and Becoming – The Early Years Learning Framework).
We are very proud of our Centre and would love to “showcase” it to you, so my team and I welcome you to come in and have a look at the great learning which is occurring at Goodstart South Nowra.
At South Nowra, you and your child can enjoy the best of both worlds. Our centre offers a preschool program and long day care under the one roof. Our preschool teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.
