Goodstart Early Learning Dakabin is located directly opposite the Dakabin State Primary School, close to residential areas as well as local shops and community facilities.
Our childcare centre supports the transition to school process, with strong partnerships with schools in the area. We are a four-room centre catering for children aged six weeks to six years with a maximum of 51 children per day.
All of our play environments are set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities available at all times. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning.
Our Kindergarten room is aligned with the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines and provides our children with experiences designed to foster independence, and a smooth transition to school.
Our Storypark platform enables us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as a strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
I have been working within the Early Education sector since early 2000 and working here at Goodstart Dakabin since mid-2017. I have worked with children of all ages and found that children aged 0-5 are my passion and where I wish to spend my days.
I believe that all children are competent, each with their own ideas, views, and knowledge. I love coming to work every day and talking and interacting with the children, hearing their views, and sharing their excitement of the world. I aim to provide an environment that stimulates their minds, warms their hearts, and challenges their creativity.
