About our centre

East Brisbane is a home away from home. Set in a renovated Queenslander, the Centre has a lot of charm, character and strong relationships within our local community and neighbourhood. Using the Early Years Learning Framework, our Educators plan experiences to scaffold the children’s learning and development. Children can commence their journey here with us from 6 weeks of age, right up until they commence school.

Hi everyone, I'm Jodie, the director at Goodstart East Brisbane!

As a mum of four young adults, I understand the importance of nurturing young minds during their most crucial years.
For over 15 years, I've been dedicated to the education community, starting with after-school care before joining the Goodstart family in 2008. My passion for early learning led me to pursue my Certificate III and Diploma, and today, my journey has led me to the rewarding role of Center Director.
What Inspires Me:
My goal is to empower each child to become their best selves. Through engaging activities and a nurturing environment, I strive to foster independence and confidence in our young learners.
Beyond the Classroom:
When I'm not inspiring young minds, you'll find me unwinding with a good crime novel or immersing myself in nature, whether it's a peaceful forest walk or a refreshing day at the beach with my dogs.
