My two girls have been attending Goodstart Cheltenham for a couple of years now. We adore our centre director and all of the educators. The bonds and strong connections built with our children (and us as parents) are priceless. We have had trying times over the past 18 months and have felt nothing but love and support to help us through. Our girls growth and development have come leaps and bounds, we work together with the educators to overcome obstacles and communication has been great! Most days they don’t even want to come home cos they love childcare so much! Highly recommend the center and couldn’t be more grateful to be a part of their community 💖🙏

I cannot praise this centre enough! The care provided here is EXCEPTIONAL. I have been to multiple childcares now in order to find the right one and finally I can say I have never had a better experience. Each child's learning is approached to your child's individual needs, they take their time to ensure theyre treated as an individual and not just another number. The approach is treated as a family and you can only praise how much effort is put into their learning approach and welcoming, warm atmosphere. No matter the area, each teacher will welcome you with open arms (even if they don't have your child in their room). I know each and every day my son is in good hands. Kate's approach to preschool education program is exceptional and each day my son comes home with something new he's learnt and nothing but a smile. No matter the problem, big or small they will inform you of your child's day and keep you up to date of everything instead of leaving it till the end of the day, you know they care. Are flexible and always willing to accommodate to your last minute bookings or swap around with bookings. Keep doing all that you guys do because your hard work does not go unnoticed!

Goodstart Early Learning Centre, Port Rd is a fantastic facility. It offers children a safe environment to play, learn, and build skills and friendships. The centre's staff are warm and caring. Everyone from the Director to Admin is experienced at meeting children's and parents' needs. Hello, my name is Hayley, and I am the Centre Director at Port Road, Cheltenham.

I have dedicated 15 years to the early childhood sector, all of which have been with Goodstart Early Learning. Over this time, I have had the joy of working with children across all age groups in a variety of roles, each experience deepening my understanding of how children learn, grow, and see the world. I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such an important stage in a child’s life, where curiosity is sparked, confidence begins to bloom, and a lifelong love of learning is nurtured. As a Centre Director, my passion lies in creating a space where every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to be themselves.

I am deeply committed to early childhood education and believe in the magic that happens when children feel truly seen, heard, and valued. Building strong, meaningful relationships is at the heart of everything we do, supporting children to grow into resilient, capable, and curious learners. I also place great importance on forming genuine partnerships with families, recognising the trust you place in us and the privilege it is to be part of your child’s journey.

As a parent of two young children who have both attended Goodstart early learning programs, I bring both professional knowledge and personal understanding to my role. I know how important it is to feel confident that your child is not only well cared for, but also happy, engaged, and thriving. It’s a comfort I value deeply, and one I strive to provide for every family who walks through our doors.

Our preschool teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.

With multi-child discounts and government funded Kindergarten/Preschool in some states, out-of-pocket costs could be even less than you think!

The above fees are effective from 7 July 2025 and are based on a 10 hour session, for attendance between 2 and 4 days per week. 5 day bookings receive a generous discount per day. Note that different combinations of sessions times and number of days can increase or decrease the daily rate.

* Estimates are calculated based on CCS rates as of January 2026, for an activity level of 72 activity hours on a 10hr session and a 3 day booking.
