About our centre

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Chadstone is located within the grounds of the Holmesglen TAFE and in close proximity to local schools, shops and transport.

Our centre is beautiful, colourful and has an inviting and homely feel. We have a great multicultural community in our surrounding suburbs and we are located right next to the Holmesglen TAFE, just a short walk to Holmesglen train station.

We have a great, stable team at Goodstart Chadstone where the majority of our educators have been with the centre for four years or more. All staff hold their first aid certificate and many staff speak languages such as Hindi, Mandarin, Greek, and Tamil, just to name a few. Our educators take pride in setting up their rooms with displays of children's artwork to create a warm and friendly environment.

Inside, all of the rooms  - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning.

Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.

Outside, we have three areas all with age appropriate play spaces and equipment. We have sandpits, a dirt pit, vege patch, cubby house, garden beds, rock beds, natural and manmade play surfaces and lots of shade.

We also have a cook at the centre providing tasty and nutritious meals for the children when tummies start to growl.

Our team work hard to ensure that the children in our care are safe, well-supervised and challenged in their in learning on a daily basis. We have built strong relationships with our families, which reflects our philosophy of working alongside families as the primary caregivers and respecting their individual cultural beliefs and traditions. Our families also love to get involved with extracurricular events and festivities that focus on multiculturalism and embrace diversity.

Come in and say hello! We would love to welcome you and your family into our centre.

Bea Carreon

Centre Director

Hi, I’m Bea Carreon and I’m the Centre Director here at Goodstart Chadstone.

I have completed a Bachelors Degree in Psychology in the Philippines. I then moved to Australia in 2011 and did continue some studying. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood and Education. I have been developing my career in the early childhood education industry since then. I have worked in a range of services both small and big private organisations, and I have been working with children from birth to 6 years old. Prior to being a Centre Director, I have been a room leader of Nursery room for 8 consecutive years. During those times, I have been given the opportunity to work with diverse range of families, educators and group leaders. These experiences has become my inspiration over the years, to provide quality care, and to be able to build a good working, and trusting relationship with both the children and their families. As a Centre Director I am to help children develop their skills and showcase the best version of themselves.

My Early Learning values:
I strongly believe that children are active learners, and they learn from significant people in their lives. Having that strong connection, impacts their developing skills, that they will use their whole life.

What I love about our community:
The diverse culture, and amazing people, that I meet every single day. And the varying languages that I have learned in this industry, as I connect with different families.

A little more about me:
I am a fur-mum of a 1-year-old cat named Sunday, I am also a proud Aunt of an 8-month-old baby boy (1st baby in the family). When I’m not working, you’ll find me in the shopping centre with my family. I enjoy watching Disney movies and love musical concerts and theatre plays. I am the middle child of 3 siblings, and I am married to an amazing husband for 4 years now.

Why your child should spend the day with me (and the amazing team at Goodstart SUBURB):
We at Goodstart Chadstone came from a diverse background with different values and strengths, we strive to support children from various cultural background for them to be able to feel safe, secure, and that they belong.

I look forward into welcoming you, and your family into our lovely community.
