Chelsea Wallace

Centre Director
Hello, I’m Chelsea and I’m the Centre Director here at Goodstart Wangaratta – Williams Road.

Welcome to Goodstart Early Learning – Wangaratta Williams Road!

Hi, my name is Chelsea, and I have the honour of leading our multi-cultural and diverse community here at Wangaratta Williams road, on the ancestral land of the Bpangerang and Ya-itma-thang peoples. With 12 years of experience in early childhood education and care, I am deeply passionate about creating an environment where every child can thrive, feel a sense of belonging, and discover their unique potential.

At Goodstart Wangaratta – Williams Road, we are committed to fostering a culture of inclusion, respect, and continuous learning — where children, families, and educators work together to build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

My journey in early childhood education began as a Certificate III educator, supporting across multiple centres. This early experience sparked a lifelong passion for helping children grow and learn through play, relationships, and exploration. Over the years, I’ve completed my Diploma of Children’s Services and Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, progressing through roles as Room Leader, Kindergarten Teacher and now Centre Director.

Throughout my career — including my years as a Kindergarten Teacher with Goodstart and the external preschool Associations — I’ve developed a strong focus on leadership, educator development, and building meaningful partnerships with families.

I believe every child, family, and educator deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported in an environment that fosters belonging, wellbeing, and growth. My philosophy is grounded in creating inclusive, culturally safe spaces where children can explore, question, and build confidence in who they are. I’m deeply committed to supporting families and empowering educators to provide quality experiences that reflect our community’s diversity.

Our centre is truly special because of the warmth and connection you feel as soon as you walk through the door. We celebrate each child’s individuality and encourage families to share their cultures and traditions, enriching our shared learning experiences. Every day, I’m inspired by the joy, laughter, and curiosity that fill our rooms — it’s a reminder of why we do what we do.

As Centre Director, my door is always open. I’m here to ensure your child’s experience with us is nurturing, educational, and filled with joy. I believe in open communication, strong partnerships with families, and a commitment to continuous improvement so we can offer the best possible care and education to every child.

I warmly invite you and your family to visit Goodstart Wangaratta Williams Road. Please feel free to reach out with any questions — or better yet, book a tour to experience firsthand the welcoming, engaging, and high-quality environment we’ve created for our children. Together, we can make these early years enriching and memorable.
