At Goodstart Parmelia, every child is supported to learn, grow and thrive in a warm, welcoming environment where relationships come first. Conveniently located near Kwinana Marketplace and public transport, Goodstart Parmelia provides early learning and care for children from six weeks to school age. Our thoughtfully designed learning environments encourage children to explore, investigate and build confidence through play, while our recently upgraded outdoor spaces feature natural play elements, a mud kitchen, yarning circle, flowing water play and plenty of room for active exploration.

Our educators build genuine partnerships with families and use Storypark to share children's learning, milestones and everyday moments. We know that consistency helps children feel secure, which is why our experienced team focuses on creating strong, trusting relationships that support every child's wellbeing and development. We also work closely with local schools to support a positive transition to Kindergarten and beyond.

Kaya, my name is Jessica Prowse and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Parmelia.

I am also a qualified Early Childhood Teacher with over 15 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and Care. My journey has been driven by a deep passion for supporting children’s development and creating environments where they feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn.

Before stepping into the role of Centre Director, I worked as an Early Childhood Teacher and Educational Leader, where I developed a strong foundation in early learning frameworks, curriculum planning, and building meaningful relationships with children and families. This background continues to shape my leadership approach today, balancing educational excellence with a nurturing, child-centred philosophy.

At Parmelia, I lead a dedicated team of educators who share a commitment to Key Educator Relationships, ensuring every child feels secure, respected, and well supported. We believe that strong, consistent relationships are the key to helping children thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.

Our beautiful natural outdoor spaces and thoughtfully designed learning environments reflect our focus on play-based learning and holistic development. Structured Kindergarten Program

At Parmelia, you and your child can enjoy the best of both worlds. Our centre offers a kindergarten program and long day care under the one roof. Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.

With multi-child discounts and government funded Kindergarten/Preschool in some states, out-of-pocket costs could be even less than you think!

The above fees are effective from 6 July 2026 and are based on a 10 hour session, for attendance between 2 and 4 days per week. 5 day bookings receive a generous discount per day. Note that different combinations of sessions times and number of days can increase or decrease the daily rate.

* Estimates are calculated based on CCS rates as of January 2026, for an activity level of 72 activity hours on a 10hr session and a 3 day booking.
