Following on from our December article on Storypark, we are delighted to announce the first wave of Goodstart centres has launched Storypark!
What is Storypark again?
Storypark is a secure, private online community in which educators, parents, and family members work together to respond to children’s learning captured via images, audio, video, and text.
Which Goodstart centres are included in this wave?
To ensure our families and educators have the best possible Storypark experience, we have phased the roll out of Storypark across the national network. In wave one, there are 268 Goodstart centres that will have access to Storypark from today.
These centres are:
ACT
NSW
QLD
SA
TAS
VIC
WA
If your centre is not part of phase one, you’ll be hearing more about Storypark throughout the year. We anticipate all centres will have Storypark in action by the end of 2016.
How do you access Storypark?
Once your centre has joined the Storypark community, you will receive an invitation from Storypark via email.
When your account is set up, you can then access Storypark by one of three ways:
We trialed Storypark in 29 Goodstart centres to test the platform and measure how effective it was in connecting families with their child’s educators, and strengthening this relationship. Here’s what one of our families said:
“Storypark enables us to know our child’s activities and things that she has learnt that day. It allowed us to know her interest in transport, dinosaurs and help her explore those interests further at home. We can come home and discuss her activities with her and that really makes great conversation topics over dinner time.”
