“I recently completed my Certificate III at Goodstart, and I had a lot of support from my team and Centre Director. The training was delivered in partnership with TasTAFE, so I spent one day a month on campus to study and catch up with other students, which I enjoyed and found beneficial for my learning.
“Goodstart has a good work culture with lots of opportunities to learn. People are willing to help you out and share their knowledge. It’s also a place where you’re encouraged to self-reflect and be open to feedback, which helps us become better Educators and improve the learning experiences we create for the children.
“I really appreciate the fact that Goodstart supports people to study for their Diploma. I’m someone who constantly strives to learn, so I plan to do my Diploma in the future and maybe progress into a Director role. I just love working in this industry, and I see a lot of opportunities in the future at Goodstart.”

“Goodstart has a big focus on professional and personal development. They supported me as I upgraded my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care so that I could undertake further studies. Now, I’m studying for my Diploma!
“There are always opportunities to upskill and work towards a different role. Once I’ve completed my Diploma, it opens the door for me to one day be a Room Leader or Centre Director. Goodstart is very open to helping you shape your career. You just have to let them know your goals, and they will support you.
“Recently, I did a training program to learn more about autism spectrum disorder. This enables me to be one of Goodstart’s ‘autism champions’, which is about raising autism awareness and helping other Educators better support children who may have autism.
“Everyone is so willing to share their advice and knowledge, too. It’s very much a culture of doing everything we can to create the best experiences possible for our children and families.”

“I’m a trade-qualified Chef, and I actually joined Goodstart as a Centre Cook. I loved that role, but over time, I created such a beautiful bond with the children and their families that I decided to change direction. So, with Goodstart’s support, I began my Traineeship in early education at the end of 2019 - and I haven’t looked back!
“It was great to get that hands-on experience in the Centre while studying for my Certificate III. Goodstart provided study sessions and one-on-one support, and made sure I had flexibility with my work hours so I could fit in my studies.
“Goodstart has a very positive culture of learning. I look forward to continuing my studies, making the most of the learning opportunities on offer, and being the best Educator I can be.”
