This delicious and nutritious home-made granola recipe is a great alternative to store-bought breakfast options and has been provided by our very own Goodstart Pakenham centre.

- 1 cup honey
- ½ cup coconut oil
- 3 tablespoons butter
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 5 cups of rolled oats
- 2 cups shredded coconut
- 1 cup sultanas
- Heat oven to 160c (fan forced)
- Line 2 trays with baking paper
- In a large bowl toss together oats and coconut
- In a saucepan over low heat, combine honey, oil & butter, stir until combined.
- Add cinnamon, salt and vanilla
- Pour over oat mix and toss until coated
- Spread over trays and bake for 30-40 mins until golden brown
- Let cool and add sultanas
- Store in an air tight container for up to 1 month
- Serve on its own or with your choice of milk or yoghurt
