About Goodstart Alexandra Hills
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Alexandra Hills is located in a residential area close to local schools, public transport and some of our communities finest public facilities.
We offer our children a rich learning environment which caters for the different developmental needs and interests through a play based curriculum.
Inside, all of the rooms - from Nursery to Kindergarten - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school.
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability. Our junior and senior yards have sandpits, wooden decking, gardens, vege patch with compost and worm farm, natural and manmade elements, a digging patch and sensory walk.
Our centre cook also provides a nutritionally balanced menu for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea and has the ability to cater to different dietary needs. Nappies are also supplied to assist the younger children with toileting.
Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.
We invite you to come and visit our centre to meet our team and to see for yourself our commitment to your child’s early learning journey.

Tara Davidson Centre Director
Hi, my name is Tara Davidson. I am excited be a part of the Alexandra Hills journey as the Centre Director.
I am passionate about working in partnership with families to deliver the highest possible care and education to children. I believe that building positive relationships with children, families, educators and the wider community is the key to a successful learning and teaching environment.
I have an open door policy which allows opportunities for conversations, support, inspiration and mentoring.
I hold a Bachelor of Education and Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Management as well as 9 years’ experience in the Early Childhood sector. I have developed skills and knowledge in a variety of positions that have given me differing experience with mentoring, motivating and inspiring educators; challenging, scaffolding and following the interests of children; and supporting, listening to and openly communicating with families.
I believe that every child has the right to a positive, aesthetically pleasing, stimulating learning environment that provides opportunities to explore, discover and investigate at their own pace. I believe that every child has their own unique learning style and with patience, effective teaching and support each child can demonstrate their capabilities.
The first 5 years of a child's life is vital to their development which is why our relationships and interactions play such a major part in contributing to their lifelong learning and wellbeing. I value the opportunity to develop strong relationships with and support the children, families and educators within the Alexandra Hills community.
