Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Blackwood is a beautiful purpose-built centre located in the Adelaide Hills, in the lush leafy suburb of Blackwood. This is an old, established, close knit community and community pride is paramount. We are close to local shops and schools as well as community services.

Outside, we have three areas all with age appropriate play spaces and equipment. The children have lots of fun playing in our spacious yard with a big sand pit, climbing equipment, and garden beds.

We provide high quality education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. Using the Early Years Learning Framework to guide our education program and scaffold children’s learning, our educators are passionate and committed to providing nurturing and simulating early learning environment. With a strong commitment and focus to create a warm and welcoming community focused centre, we look forward to building and maintaining meaningful and true relationships with all our families and children.

Goodstart Blackwood is a wonderful childcare centre that has and continues to provide our daughters with a warm, caring and supportive environment to learn, grow and develop. Hello, my name is Vanessa Rameh, I have over 33 years of experience in the childcare sector and over 18 years as a Director.

I am passionate about providing strong pedagogical leadership that inspires and supports the delivery of high-quality care and education. I strive to create an environment that is vibrant, engaging and interesting, where children feel safe, valued, respected and encouraged to explore, learn and thrive.

Through effective leadership, management, direction and ongoing support, I aim to empower educators to feel confident in their practice and committed to creating meaningful experiences for every child. I value positive partnerships with children, families and staff and believe that collaboration, communication and reflective practice are essential to achieving the best outcomes for children.

Above all, children’s safety, wellbeing and sense of belonging remain at the heart of my leadership approach. I am committed to fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential.

I am also a busy mum of five, having two girls of my own and three step children.

Families are our Primary Partners. Our Children are central to everything we do. We are a wonderfully multicultural centre, who recognise all cultures , including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, who we ensure are acknowledged, valued and respected.

The above fees are effective from 6 July 2026 and are based on a 10 hour session, for attendance between 2 and 4 days per week. 5 day bookings receive a generous discount per day. Note that different combinations of sessions times and number of days can increase or decrease the daily rate.

* Estimates are calculated based on CCS rates as of January 2026, for an activity level of 72 activity hours on a 10hr session and a 3 day booking.
