About Goodstart Bundoora Karl Court
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Bundoora - Karl Court is a vibrant and modern facility conveniently located between two universities and the tram line and visible from Plenty Road.
We’re situated near Mt Cooper estate. Our child care centre is wheel-chair accessible and has two convenient drop off points to help parents get off to work smoothly.
Our dedicated educators are passionate about teaching the children and look for opportunities to encourage and explore their individual interests. Every day is different, reflecting the changing learning interests of the children. Some of our staff also enjoy sharing their special hobbies and interests with the children, for example playing music and singing songs.
We have a kinder teacher running our kinder program, which has a clear focus on respect for the world around us and school readiness to help your child make a smooth transition to school.
As well as providing high quality care and educational programs, we foster the development of each child's independence and assist them with milestones such as feeding themselves, drinking from a cup and toilet training.
Our play based, stimulating curriculum is based on the Early Years’ Learning Framework and our rooms – from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool – are all geared with this in mind. We also develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling.
This is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.
We’ve recently had our two play spaces upgraded and the children are enjoying the natural surroundings including more gardens, cubby houses, digging patches and vegetable gardens. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.
All meals are prepared on site by our qualified cook who uses tasty, fresh and nutritional ingredients – just the thing to keep hungry tummies satisfied.
Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.
Many of our families come from multicultural backgrounds we love to share celebrations and events based on our families’ interests and values. Many of our educators also come from different cultures and enjoy sharing their cultural knowledge and languages skills with the children.
I look forward to meeting you and your family – and exploring how we can support you on your child’s early learning journey - soon.
