Our child care centre has three spacious rooms catering for children from 15mths to 5 years old and operates Monday to Friday from 7:00am until 6:00pm.

We have an amazing team of educators working throughout the centre and we are dedicated to the care and education of your children at all times. Our qualified educators, including our Bachelor qualified Kindergarten teacher, aim to provide a variety of fun, educational activities and experiences for the children on a daily basis.

We offer extracurricular activities such as Dance Along and Billy’s Buddies, and throughout the year we host educational shows ranging from dental visits to multi-cultural demonstrations. We have an open door policy and we invite all parents and families to come and participate in our routines or activities at any time.

Our centre also has a brand new outdoor learning environment with natural aspects for the children to be able to explore. Our centre offers a comprehensive high quality educational program which operates under the Early Years Learning Framework. This will assist the children in developing their own identity, building confidence, as well as effective communication skills.

The partnership between our families and our skilled and committed early childhood professionals helps to create a positive environment for children both where they live and where they learn.

Hello, my name is Elissa Fisk, and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Early Learning Carina

I bring over 15 years of experience in the early childhood sector and a genuine passion for supporting children and families.

My journey into early learning began while working for a not-for-profit organisation, where I volunteered my time on the school bus run. It was there that I discovered my love for working with children and supporting their growth and development.

My core belief is that children always come first—their safety, wellbeing, and autonomy are at the heart of everything I do. I believe children are the future, and we have a shared responsibility to set them up for success by thoughtfully scaffolding their learning and supporting them to safely engage with and explore the world around them.

Throughout my career, I have worked across a range of roles within early learning centres, which has given me a strong, well-rounded understanding of the sector and led me to discover my passion for leadership.

At Goodstart Early Learning Carina, we see our centre as an extension of the home environment—a place where children feel safe, secure, and nurtured. We strive to provide a calm, peaceful, and natural environment that fosters imagination, curiosity, and a wonderful, engaging educational experience filled with fun and meaningful learning opportunities.

A little about me personally: I am a proud mum of three beautiful children—two spirited boys with fiery personalities to match their hair, and one determined, outgoing little girl who confidently rules the house with giggles and smiles. My husband is a passionate cabinet maker with over 16 years of experience in his trade.

In our free time, we love relaxing together as a family, whether that’s spending time in our backyard or swimming in the beautiful natural environments the earth has gifted us—be it the beach or a freshwater swimming hole. We also enjoy riding our bikes together, enthusiastically racing to see who can reach our destination first.

Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.

With multi-child discounts and government funded Kindergarten/Preschool in some states, out-of-pocket costs could be even less than you think!

The above fees are effective from 7 July 2025 and are based on a 10 hour session, for attendance between 2 and 4 days per week. 5 day bookings receive a generous discount per day. Note that different combinations of sessions times and number of days can increase or decrease the daily rate.

* Estimates are calculated based on CCS rates as of January 2026, for an activity level of 72 activity hours on a 10hr session and a 3 day booking.
