About our centre

Goodstart Carindale is positioned in the heart of the Carindale suburb just behind Belmont State School open from 6.30am till 6.30pm. We are easily accessible by bus or by car and we have ample off street private parking.

With three beautiful rooms, Goodstart Carindale accommodates children from 15 months to school age. Meals are prepared fresh daily by the centre cook, nappies and nappy wipes are also provided for the younger aged children. We offer extra-curricular activities such as Kinda Dance, and throughout the year we host educational shows ranging from dental visits to multi-cultural demonstrations. We have an open-door policy and we invite all parents and families to come and participate in our routines or activities at any time.

Goodstart Carindale is a nationally accredited centre with highly-qualified and experienced team of educators, including bachelor qualified Kindergarten teachers. All our educators feel it is so important to make our learning centre your child’s new world, they are also highly dedicated to providing you and your child with the highest quality of care.
Goodstart Carindale uses an online record system called Storypark; this allows us to communicate with families like never before. Learning stories and ePortfolios help the whole family become engaged in learning in real time.

Amy Hume

Centre Director

My name is Amy Hume and I have been working with Goodstart since 2001. I am extremely passionate about caring for our children as well as leading my staff.

We have a great team of staff with an immense amount of experience and knowledge which we use to help children grow in a happy and safe environment. I believe that children should grow at their own pace and in their own time. My team always ensures that we cater for all the needs of our families and children. I also have two young children of my own, a daughter born in 2008 and a son born in 2011.
