Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children. Your child will have at least one educator (their key educator) who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them. 
Our Key Educator relationships help children form secure attachments. Educators work closely with smaller groups and individual children to better understand each child. These relationships lead to improved outcomes for children as we foster more communication between families and educators. 
We inform families regularly about their child's progress and welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.  
At our Belmont centre, we're proud to inspire your child's love of learning with the support of our passionate and qualified early childhood experts. Teachers with bachelor's degrees run our three and four-year-old kindergarten program, so children can be well on their way to excellent learning outcomes by the time they start school.

My name is Emily Garnett, and I’m proud to be the Centre Director here at Goodstart Belmont.

I’m originally from regional Queensland (Mackay), and my passion for early childhood education started at a very young age. I’ve been part of the Goodstart family since 2014, beginning my journey as a school‑based trainee. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to grow through a variety of roles including Educator, ISS Educator, Senior Educator, Assistant Director, and now Centre Director.

I’m known for my bubbly nature, big smile, and my ability to make people feel welcome and included. Creating an inclusive, warm, and safe environment for every child, family, and team member is incredibly important to me. Whoever walks through our doors—everyone and anyone—is welcomed with openness and respect.

I absolutely love being a leader and supporting my team as we grow together. I’m also a strong safety advocate and take our safeguarding policies very seriously. I’m always happy to chat with families about our supervision plans, safety practices, and the resources we have in place to ensure every child feels safe and supported.

Our centre is conveniently located within the Belmont Shopping Village, surrounded by a wonderful community. We have Woolworths close by, a chemist for those urgent medication needs, and even a medical practice just within the precinct—everything families may need, right at their fingertips.

At Belmont, you and your child can enjoy the best of both worlds. Our centre offers a kindergarten program and long day care under the one roof. Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.

The above fees are effective from 7 July 2025 and are based on a 10 hour session, for attendance between 2 and 4 days per week. 5 day bookings receive a generous discount per day. Note that different combinations of sessions times and number of days can increase or decrease the daily rate.
