The team of professional educators at Cranbourne East are passionate about ensuring quality care and inclusion. With over 150 years of combined knowledge we maintain a 'home away from home' environment for educators, families and children. We guide children to build secure attachments with their educators who ensure all children are supported. We work as a team to plan and spontaneously explore the world with each child, respecting their learning and providing natural and stimulating environments that offer opportunities for challenge and discovery. We scaffold children’s learning as they explore new ideas and develop new skills.
As professionals, we maintain open and honest communication and support families holistically through understanding individual needs, cultures and beliefs. Building strong relationships with families and children creates a foundation for shared input, decision making and contribution to your child’s learning.
We have developed a child focused space of discovery where educators are working with children, supporting and scaffolding their interests and curiosity. We document and share each child’s learning experiences with families through Storypark and meaningful conversations working in partnership with the Early Years Learning Framework/Victorian Early Years Learning and Developmental Framework. As a team, we honour the rights of all children, we believe that all children have a voice and are capable, competent and successful learners. We will wander along with each and every child, allowing them the time and space to explore the natural environment, making their own choices and decisions about how they will learn and play. We support each child in the journey of belonging, being and becoming as we believe that from birth each child has the right to feel connected to their family, community, culture and place.
We host a variety of events showcasing our diverse community. These events consist of cultural holidays and early childhood calendared events that are important and have an impact within our community. Our service understands the value of health care and we have a doctor that visits weekly to support the needs of children, families and educators.
We also offer an embedded visiting Doctor service for our families – bulk billed. On Tuesdays, Dr Rob completes health checks, immunisations, wellbeing checks and can also support with referral for additional care needs. This is offered to Children, families and educators of the service.
Our open door policy encourages you to share time with your child at our centre. At Goodstart Cranbourne East we pride ourselves on not only being a quality Early Learning Service, but a support network for all.
