About Goodstart Gladstone Toolooa Street
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Gladstone - Toolooa Street is located close to the city's CBD and within walking distance of local shops, schools and transport routes.
We have dedicated staff who provide a safe, friendly and stimulating learning environment for the children in their care, all of whom have current First Aid and CPR certificates and are continually learning new skills to further their knowledge within the childcare industry.
Our play based, stimulating curriculum is based on the Early Years’ Learning Framework and our rooms – from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool – are all geared with this in mind. We also develop colourful, engaging programs accounting for each child’s individual interests, needs and strengths; and with each step we are ensuring the children are ready to take the big step into schooling.
This is made simpler through our intuitive Storypark platform, which enables us to maintain consistent and clear communications with families. That means we are better placed to support a child in their learning journey, ensure parents have peace of mind, and time stamp the children’s developments, milestones and achievements.
Outside, our playground areas are a balance of natural and manmade elements and play surfaces – with sandpits, a fort, vege patches, garden beds and lots of shade and space across our two yards. We have carefully designed and planned spaces to encourage a stronger understanding of the environment and sustainability – while giving children the scope to explore, play and let their imaginations roam.
A major focus for our centre is how working with the broader community can help us enrich the children’s learning experience. Art and music experiences - as well as other extra-curricular activities - are provided on a daily basis which allow the children to freely express their creativity.

Hi My name is Demi Jensen and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Toolooa Street. I have been in the childcare sector since 2010 and throughout my time in Childcare I have worked in many different positions and with all age groups.
At Goodstart Toolooa Street we provide a stimulating environment that will support each child’s learning. This involves a good range of experiences and a free-choice approach so that each child will be able to follow their own interests at the level they are ready for. Our team believed that children learn through play and hands on, concrete experiences which reflects in our quality early learning programs.
