About Goodstart Jerrabomberra
At Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Jerrabomberra is located in a residential area close to schools, shops and transport.
Our educators ensure each child has a happy, friendly and meaningful experience while in our care. All are qualified and motivated to maintain a high standard of learning for each child through individualised programs, utilising the Early Years Learning Framework.
We have two Pre-school rooms at our child care centre. Both rooms run excellent school readiness programs, with lunchbox days introduced in term 4 each year to help families and children prepare themselves for school the following year.
Inside, all of the rooms - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - are all set up with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school.
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability. Our four areas have mud kitchens, sandpits, a vege patch, timber decking jetty and bridge, bike track, amphitheatre, pergola and lots of space to run around.
We also have a cook at the centre providing tasty and nutritious meals for the children when tummies start to growl.
Our centre runs a Korean and Japanese language program for our Toddlers through to Pre-schoolers.
We have a close relationship with the local primary school, conducting separate orientation visits to the schools orientation for the children attending there the next year.
A major focus for our centre is how working with the broader community can help us enrich the children’s learning experience. Through visits to the centre as well as excursions and participation in community events, we are able to deepen the relationship between the centre and the community, while teaching the children about being a contributing and active member of society.
Families join together with their children during events such as craft mornings, special Parent and Grandparent events, Graduation and the centres End of Year celebration.
Open nights at our centre also let parents come to the centre and discuss programs, practice and have discussions between educators and parents relevant to their child.
We look forward to meeting you and your family soon! Come in and meet the team, take a tour and see how we can work together to give your child the best possible start in life.

Joanne Cosentini Centre Director
Hi there! My name is Joanne and I’m the centre director at Goodstart Jerrabomberra.
I have been working in the Early Education and Child Care industry for 28 years and I am also a mother of four beautiful children. My journey in the Early Childhood industry came from humble beginnings as an overly enthusiastic trainee, a driven team leader, a business owner/operator with a dream of success, into an operations manager position. These previous roles have provided me with such a wonderful range of experiences and endless opportunities to make a difference in the Early Education field. I am constantly reminded and grateful for being part of our children's growth and development and seeing what we can do for our leaders of the future, the children!
The quote 'choose a job you love and you will never work a day in your life' is my personal mantra.
We hope you are able to come visit our centre and discover how we can support your family.
