About our centre
Goodstart Early Learning Kalamunda is a warm and friendly child care centre, nestled in the hills away from the hustle and bustle of the city but still conveniently close to local schools and shops as well as community services.
We are licensed for 68 children and have four rooms. Nursery catering for children aged six weeks to fifteen months, Toddler catering for children aged fifteen months to two and a half years, a three year old Kindy room, and Kindergarten catering for children aged three and a half years to Pre-Primary five years.
Our experienced and long term educators provide a friendly and nurturing environment and implement a play based curriculum that will enhance your child's development for years to come.
All of our rooms are set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with colourful, stimulating surrounds. This ensures the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school.
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability.

We provide breakfast and three nutritionally balanced meals each day that are prepared in the centre by our cook.
A major focus for our centre is how working with the broader community can help us enrich the children’s learning experience. Through visits to the centre as well as excursions and participation in community events, we are able to deepen the relationship between the centre and the community, while teaching the children about being a contributing and active member of society.

Hello, my name is Ebony, and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Early Learning Kalamunda.
I started my journey in early childhood education 10 years ago, as an Educator, while studying a Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
I then progressed in further studies, completing an Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Management and stepping into various leadership roles, as a Centre Director, Operations Manager, Change Manager and Relationships Manager.
I believe that strong, meaningful partnerships are at the heart of every child’s learning journey, including those with our dedicated educators, families, and the broader community. As the saying goes, 'it takes a village to raise a child', and every village is unique.
In my spare time you’ll find me outdoors exploring new beaches, camping with friends and making the most of the sunshine.
