About Goodstart Kyneton
Goodstart early Learning Child Care Centre Kyneton is located in a residential area, across the road from a beautiful park and close to schools and shops.
We are a three room centre, catering for children from six weeks to five years of age. Our Nursery room has its own outdoor play space and our Toddlers and Kinder rooms share a recently renovated and spacious natural play space. We also have a team of wonderful, dedicated educators. We pride ourselves on our warm, family-friendly atmosphere.
We offer educational programs specifically designed to engage children in a wide range of experiences within the early learning environment. These programs support and extend on children's current strengths, interests and abilities through individual and group observations. Our centre plays an important role in the lives of our families and we strive to ensure each family enjoys being a part of our centre.
Inside, all of the rooms - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning.
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
Goodstart Kyneton has a strong focus on sustainability, and we maintain a recycling program where we utilise used materials (such as boxes) as part of our art and craft activities. Our centre also takes pride in our embedded sustainability practices which include using recycled water tanks, raising chickens and we have 4 large fruit, vegetable and herb gardens throughout the centre. We have incorporated a lot of nature activities into our learning programs to allow the children to learn about the environment.
Our outside areas also have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the world around them.
We have a cook on premises five days a week and we provide breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack. The meals that we provide are healthy and nutritious and we also cater for children who have allergies to certain foods.
We are actively involved in our local community through open days, presence at the weekend markets, and links with the local maternal child health centre.
Come in and say hello! We would love to welcome you and your family into our centre.
