About Goodstart Lane Cove
Goodstart Early Learning Lane Cove is located in the heart of Lane Cove, surrounded by a vibrant local community made up of shops, restaurants and a number of local schools and educational facilities as well as an abundance of gum trees. Our child care centre looks to operate as an integral part of this community.
Goodstart Lane Cove is a split level centre that caters for children aged from 15 months to five years old. Our centre is spacious both inside and out, offering an abundance of learning tools across two large classrooms and two well-shaded yards.
Our child care centre has a fully committed team of educators who work together to plan and implement the Early Years Learning Framework across the centre, with a focus on school readiness in our Kindergarten / Preschool room. This includes visiting local primary schools, experiencing school assembly’s, visiting Sydney's major attractions, uniform and lunch box week. We also attend monthly visits to our local library during school term and have developed a relationship with a local aged care facility where the children engage with our senior community..
We value the role of the parent as the most important carer and aim to work in partnership with our families by promoting their involvement in the centre. Our centre’s children, families and educators are from diverse and multicultural backgrounds and together we embrace each other’s differences and use this special mix of people to teach and learn with spirit, fun and laughter each and every day.
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
Outside, we have three areas all with age appropriate play spaces and equipment. With sandpits, climbing forts, dry creek beds, kitchen, slides, vege patches, undercover deck and and a stage, there is plenty to keep the children entertained and allow them to let their imaginations run free - all in a safe and shaded space!
We also have a cook on premises five days a week and we provide breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack. The meals that we provide are healthy and nutritious and we also cater for children who have allergies to certain foods.
Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we are able to enrich the learning experience. We offer extra-curricular classes weekly including sports, art, music, dance, cooking and Spanish language classes.
We invite you to come and visit our centre to meet our team and to see for yourself our commitment to your child’s early learning journey.
