Welcome to our vibrant early learning haven in beautiful Madora Bay, on Bindjareb land.

Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children. Your child will have at least one educator (their key educator) who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them. 
Our Key Educator relationships help children form secure attachments. Educators work closely with smaller groups and individual children to better understand each child. These relationships lead to improved outcomes for children as we foster more communication between families and educators. 
We inform families regularly about their child's progress and welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.  
At our Goodstart Madora Bay centre, we're proud to inspire your child's love of learning with the support of our passionate and qualified Early Childhood Teacher, Missy. Missy has been teaching for 5-years and run our kindergarten program, so children can be well on their way to excellent learning outcomes by the time they start school.

Rachel Hooton

Centre Director

Hi! My name is Rachel Hooton and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Madora Bay.

I have been at Goodstart Early Learning for the past ten years. During my time here at Goodstart, my growth & development has been life changing. I started as the Kindergarten Teacher at Goodstart Bertram before moving to the Educational Leader role. Through succession planning with my State Performance Lead, I attained the Centre Director role in 2017 at Goodstart Atwell. I am now embarking on a job-share role with Dannie, so I can transition to a new and exciting career path as State Practice Partner for Goodstart WA.

Throughout my time in early years settings, I have gained great understanding and knowledge in providing the best possible early education and care for children. The centre Team, our Children and Families are what my job is all about and we couldn’t be prouder to have been rated Exceeding the National Quality Standards, in all 7 areas of Quality.

My goal as Centre Director is to create a warm, caring and safe centre environment where our children can grow, learn and explore new ideas together. I look forward to welcoming you to our Goodstart Madora Bay family and together, give each and every child the best possible start in life.

Dannielle Smith

Acting Centre Director

Hi! My name is Dannielle Smith and I share the Centre Director role here at Goodstart Madora Bay.

I have been in the Early Learning sector for 16 years now, starting as a trainee, since then I have gained my Certificate 3 and Diploma in Children’s Services. I have worked in many roles during my time including being an Assistant Educator, Senior Educator and an Assistant Director and now my current role as Acting Centre Director.

My progression through each role allows me to understand the everyday intricacies of each role.
I know children and their families succeed best when they feel safe, secure and supported and the relationships I work to build with each one is at the forefront of what I do. Building strong supportive community partnerships around our children is a key component for children to successfully make meaning of the world they live and explore in.

My heart is deeply invested in the community as I have grown up in the Rockingham and Mandurah area my while life. The amazing facilities that are available right on our doorstep are a dream. Retail and recreational facilities as well as parks, beaches and bike tracks, these are highlights of our community that we also like to integrate as part of our children’s learning building stronger Centre, community and home life connections.
