About our new centre
Our new home is architecturally designed to offer children a beautiful inviting space both internally and externally. Featuring six age-based learning spaces over two levels, with direct access for all children to a 0-2 and 3-5 year old expansive outdoor play areas.
Our beautiful communal dining hub allows the children to come together and enjoy meals away from their learning spaces. Our onsite kitchen with child-height servery allows our centre cook to serve and interact with our children and engage in cooking and preparing meals.
With a highly experienced and qualified team, our early learning programs cater to each child’s stage of development, from six weeks of age to Preschool-aged children. The curriculum is based on the Early Years Learning Framework and is tailored to your child’s individual interests.

Emma Richards Centre Director
My name is Emma Richards and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Mentone.
I have worked within the early childhood profession for over six wonderful years. I have worked in a variety of roles within Goodstart during this time. In 2018 I spent a year in the US working as an Au Pair, where I had the opportunity to join a busy family of six, experiencing a different culture and living independently in another country, which was a wonderful growth experience for me. It also gave me a new understanding for what really matters to children and families while engaging in an early learning service.
Children are central to everything we do here at Goodstart and I am extremely proud to represent a culture of continuous growth, exploration and development.
My vision as a leader is based on a solid understanding that the first five years shape who a child will become, by understanding the powerful theory of attachment and allowing it to guide our educators in building secure connections with each individual child and family.
I am excited to have the opportunity to lead my team to build a Centre rich in knowledge, community and culture. To lead a qualified, purposeful and enthusiastic team and to support our children and families to reach their goals and exceed expectations.
I strive to create a warm, safe and inviting atmosphere where all children, educators and families feel valued, empowered and connected.
I am looking forward to meeting you, and welcoming you and your family into our community.
