About Goodstart Oakbank
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Oakbank is situated in the heart of Oakbank on the main road, close to nearby schools, shops and community services.
At our centre we have a strong, caring and consistent team who provide a fun, educational and safe environment for all the children in our care. We have a smaller centre which allows us to get to know our children and families on a more personal level.
We all enjoy working closely with the children and families from our local community. We believe that the early years are vital for a child’s development and therefore work hard to ensure we help parents give their children the best start to life possible.
Inside, all the rooms - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning.
The children enjoy going for walks around the local community and the Kindy children get to engage in our Bush Kindy program, which involves inquiry based-learning in the natural world
Our Over 2’s room allows for siblings to interact together during the day and the Kindergarten children often take the younger children ‘under their wings’ in a buddy type way. The children also get the opportunity to have separate indoor and outdoor time.
Our StoryPark App enables us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
Our outdoor yard has recently been upgraded. We have sandpits, fruit trees and vegetable patches, sensory gardens, a bird, a view out onto adjoining paddocks and lots of shade.
All meals are prepared on site by our qualified cook who uses tasty, fresh and nutritional ingredients – just the thing to keep hungry tummies satisfied.
Community is also important to us and through visits to the centre and participation in events and activities throughout the year we can enrich the learning experience. Art and music experiences are provided daily which allow the children to freely express their creativity.
We invite you to book a tour
and take a look around, meet the team and explore how we can support your child’s early learning journey. We look forward to welcoming you and your family! (If the tour times available don’t suit you or your family’s commitments please contact us to organise a different time).
