About Goodstart St Leonards Christie Street
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre St Leonards is a licensed 66 place long day care centre that caters for children aged six weeks to five years. We are easily accessible by private transport and only a short five minute walk from St Leonards train station and bus stop. Parents are able to park at the Wilsons car park for free for half an hour during drop-off and pick-up.
Our educators are highly trained, with each room run by qualified staff and maintaining the staff to child ratio set by the NSW Department of Children's Services. All of our staff have a senior first aid certificate and anaphylaxis training. Our staff actively and regularly engage in personal and professional development to expand their experience and knowledge.
Our enthusiastic, highly qualified, multi-lingual and experienced educators create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment that promotes the growth, learning and all round development of each individual child.
We pride ourselves on implementing quality educational programs that meet the needs of the children and follow the Early Years Learning Framework. Our preschool curriculum includes a specialised school readiness program aimed at assisting children and providing them with the learning tools and skills they need for a smooth transition to primary school and beyond.
Goodstart Early Learning St Leonards provides morning tea, hot lunch, afternoon tea, late snack, nappies, and bed linen. Our full-time cook, Preeya, ensures that nutritious meals are provided throughout the day.
We can also accommodate special dietary needs, with particular attention to allergies and cultural considerations. We also have a private breast feeding room for families when needed. Our centre is focused on the importance of healthy lifestyle, and as such we are actively involved in the NSW Health Munch and Move Program, which is a physical education program focusing on fundamental movement skills.
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights, a noticeboard, idividual communication slips and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
We would welcome the opportunity to meet with you and your family and learn a little about how we can best support you on the journey of lifelong learning.
