About Goodstart Woodford
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Woodford is located in the heart of Woodford township, in a rural setting close to local schools, shops and residential estates.
We are the only established child care centre operating within the area and we pride ourselves on our dedication and attention to the needs of our children and families.
Our centre cares for children from 6 weeks of age with a newly opened Nursery. We are Kindergarten funded and have built close rapport with local schools in our area which enables a smoother transition.
The rooms are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school.
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability.
Our four spacious natural yards with beautiful gardens and trees, are equipped with a great range of play resources and we offer fun day activities including creative art, cultural and festive events, and we also welcome the local community into our centre with monthly library visits, police, and fire brigade visits.
Our highly qualified and motivated educators place emphasis on ensuring all children enjoy their time in care, and encourage families to be involved in their child's learning. We encourage an 'open door' policy, and provide daily parent communication books, a child's keepsake profile book (art and achievements) and Certificates of Graduation for parents to keep as treasured memories of their time early learning years.
We encourage all families in the community to come and visit our centre and see the benefits that early childhood education can offer their children.
