Nestled in a peaceful pocket of North Brisbane on the traditional lands of the Turrbal and Yuggera peoples, we offer a family-focused early learning and long day care environment for children aged six weeks to five years.

Located on the corner of Appleby and Ringrose Roads in the beautifully restored former Stafford Heights Methodist Church, our centre blends historic charm with modern learning environments.

Our longstanding educators bring over 200 years of combined experience, creating a warm, stable and community-driven space for children, from nursery to kindergarten.

Surrounded by local schools, transport and leafy residential streets, our centre truly feels like an extension of home.

Through our philosophy, we aim to create a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive and become confident, capable learners. 
Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children. Your child will have at least one educator (their key educator) who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them. 
Our Key Educator relationships help children form secure attachments. Educators work closely with smaller groups and individual children to better understand each child. These relationships lead to improved outcomes for children as we foster more communication between families and educators. 
We inform families regularly about their child's progress and welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.  
At our Stafford Heights centre, we're proud to inspire your child's love of learning with the support of our passionate and qualified early childhood experts. Teachers with bachelor's degrees run our three and four-year-old kindergarten program, so children can be well on their way to excellent learning outcomes by the time they start school.

Hi! My name is Natasha, and I’m the Centre Director here at Goodstart Stafford Heights.

I began my journey in early childhood education in 2014 and have since worked across many roles including assistant educator, lunch cover, room leader, assistant director and now director.

I’ve spent four years living in the UK, where I worked as a nanny. That experience gave me a deep understanding of the everyday joys and challenges of raising children, and it strengthened my passion for building strong, supportive relationships with families.

In addition, I’ve supported children and families through the NDIS, particularly those with additional needs. This has given me valuable insight into the importance of inclusive, individualised care and the power of advocating for every child’s voice to be heard.

For me, safeguarding, connection, and trust are at the heart of everything we do. I believe in creating a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, confident, and valued and where families feel part of our extended community.

Structured Kindergarten Program

At Stafford Heights, you and your child can enjoy the best of both worlds. Our centre offers a kindergarten program and long day care under the one roof. Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.

The above fees are effective from 7 July 2025 and are based on a 10 hour session, for attendance between 2 and 4 days per week. 5 day bookings receive a generous discount per day. Note that different combinations of sessions times and number of days can increase or decrease the daily rate.
