About our centre

Goodstart Early Learning McDowall is a purpose built centre conveniently located in Flockton Street shopping precinct, providing care for children aged six weeks to five years.

All educators from nursery through to kindergarten are trained in early childhood development, health and safety and the early years learning framework. Our qualified Kindergarten teacher utilizes links with local primary schools to provide our children with tools for success in school.

Our aim is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can build a sense of belonging. We believe in a play based learning environment that supports children to have agency and build connection with country and culture.

Our storypark platform for communication provides families with instant access to their child's learning journeys and provide a secure tool for effective communication between the service educators and management with families.

We believe that all children are individual and cater to each child's unique needs and development. It takes a village to raise a child and we hope that we can support your family through this exciting experience, that is quality early childhood education.

Hello, my name is Alannah and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart McDowall.

I have been in Early Childhood Education for over ten years and have been with Goodstart for the past ten. I hold my Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and also a Masters in Business Administration.

As a Centre Director I believe strong connections between families, educators and children is one of the most important aspects in early childhood. I am very fortunate to have a team of educators who are passionate about children, have wonderful relationships with our families and provide the best quality learning and development for the children in our centre.
