High quality early learning: Spotlighting the 2025 Goodstart Centre of the Year
Skilled educators and teachers shaping futures every day.
At Goodstart Melbourne, our centre is dedicated to providing a nurturing and educational environment for children from six weeks to school aged.
We offer long daycare and kindergarten programs and our play-based learning programs are designed to promote:
A child’s natural sense of enquiry
Literacy, numeracy and social skills
Creativity, problem solving and resilience
These are all critical skills needed for school and life. Quality play-based learning gives children hands-on exploration of the world around them.

We believe the best way children learn is when they feel safe, secure and supported. I like to run an open, welcoming and happy environment for families and educators.
Our Key Educator relationships help children form secure attachments. Educators work closely with smaller groups and individual children to better understand each child. These relationships lead to improved outcomes for children as we foster more communication between families and educators.
Goodstart Early Learning Melbourne has a spacious, natural and homely environment and is in central Melbourne.
Inviting, engaging, and age appropriate learning environments ensure the children in our care have a chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning.
Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment.
Yes, we offer a state approved funded kindergarten program.
The Free Kinder funding from the Victorian government covers 7.5 hours a day for two days of kinder. This funding is delivered straight to Goodstart and we use it to reduce the fees you pay.
At Goodstart, we believe all children deserve the best possible start in life, and that includes access to high-quality early childhood education and care.
We offer:
Discounts on multiple days
All day sessions
Discounts on combined Before School and After School Care (applicable centres only)
Fee assistance programs for families
We work closely with parents and families to ensure the needs, interests and strengths of each child is taken into account.
The Storypark app is central to our ability to maintain clear and open lines of communication between the centre and our families. Any new developments, milestones or even issues which might arise from time to time can be communicated to families and plans put in place.

I hold a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and take great pride and joy in overseeing the educational programs and care provided at our centre. Supporting children, educators, and families to thrive together is the most rewarding part of my role.
I strongly believe that a child’s first experiences in early childhood education should be positive, joyful, and meaningful. These early moments play a vital role in supporting social and emotional learning and in shaping children’s confidence, curiosity, and love for learning.
Our Melbourne community is truly special. I am committed to building strong, respectful, and cohesive relationships between our children, families, educators, and the wider community.
We regularly take learning beyond the centre by visiting places such as the State Library of Victoria, Flagstaff Gardens, and the ACMI Museum, giving children rich, hands on opportunities to explore and learn through real world experiences.

At Melbourne, you and your child can enjoy the best of both worlds. Our early learning centre offers a Government-funded kindergarten program and long day care under the one roof. Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.
