Goodstart Port Macquarie

Goodstart Early Learning Port Macquarie is in the beautiful suburb of Lighthouse Beach in Port Macquarie. Our centre is located on Biripi land and we pay respect to the Biripi people as the traditional custodians of the land on which we learn and play! We have places for 76 children, offering early learning children aged six weeks to five years, including a tailored Preschool program to get your child ready for school and life.

Four individual learning spaces indoors enable children to break into their developmental stages to enhance interaction with each other, and facilitate dedicated care by qualified early childhood teachers and educators. Our team of educators have worked thoughtfully to create environments that are both calm and beautiful for both children and adults. The classrooms have been carefully organised to ensure that there are many small spaces for children to break off into small groups and play, which makes for a calm and organised atmosphere.

Outside, we have two beautiful, age-appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability. Our two play areas have balance beams, sandpits, a balance of manmade and natural play surfaces, vege patches, teepees, planter boxes and lots of shade. Our 2-5 yard has an amazing creek bed which is the focus of waterplay fun in the warmer months.

Children at the centre have access to stimulating early childhood learning experiences and curriculum developed and delivered by experienced teachers and educators. Programs are designed to foster each child’s individual needs and interests, in line with the Early Years' Learning Framework.

Our Storypark platform, one on one communication between the family and key educators and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths.

We have a qualified chef who cooks fresh, healthy and nutritious meals for the children each day. The centre provides all meals during the day, including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack.
