Goodstart recognises excellence and impact at 2025 National Goodies awards
Goodstarters from across the nation gathered to celebrate best practice at the 2025 National Goodies awards this week.
Set beside Ithaca Creek and located on the same road as the Brisbane Broncos headquarters, Goodstart Red Hill offers a calm, intentional early learning environment where children are deeply known and respected.
Catering for children from two years to school age, our small, boutique centre supports children to grow together in stable cohorts, guided by highly qualified educators.
In 2024, Goodstart Red Hill was awarded an Excellent Rating, placing us among just 26 services nationally to hold this distinction.
Book a tour to experience a centre where slow, meaningful learning is valued and children’s rights are championed.
Our three learning spaces – Foundation (for toddlers aged 2–3 years), Kindergarten 1 and Kindergarten 2 – are thoughtfully designed to feel calm, beautiful and purposeful, with spaces for small-group collaboration and deep engagement.
Children spend time learning beyond the centre through the long-established WNDER Project, building strong connections with nature, community and one another.
Our experienced leadership team, including a Centre Director with more than 22 years at the service, provides continuity and confidence for families.
With a strong Reggio Emilia influence, children are viewed as capable decision-makers, actively contributing through initiatives such as the Children’s Council.
Families value the presence, intentionality and deep relationships that define daily life at Red Hill.

At Goodstart Red Hill, our philosophy centres around the belief that every child is a unique individual with their own interests and strengths. We embrace a play-based learning approach that nurtures curiosity and creativity, allowing children to explore their world in meaningful ways.
We prioritise:
Through our philosophy, we aim to create a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive and become confident, capable learners.
Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children. Your child will have at least one educator (their key educator) who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them.
Our Key Educator relationships help children form secure attachments. Educators work closely with smaller groups and individual children to better understand each child. These relationships lead to improved outcomes for children as we foster more communication between families and educators.
We inform families regularly about their child's progress and welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.
At our Red Hill centre, we're proud to inspire your child's love of learning with the support of our passionate and qualified early childhood experts. Teachers with bachelor's degrees run our three and four-year-old kindergarten program, so children can be well on their way to excellent learning outcomes by the time they start school.
At Goodstart, we believe all children deserve the best possible start in life, which includes access to high-quality early childhood education and care. We offer:
We work closely with parents to ensure the individual needs, interests and strengths of children are considered, and our learning goals reflect them. Using Storypark, a wonderful communication platform, we stay in close touch with families and ensure you're well informed about your child's development and achievements.

Embedding the WNDER project spanning 12 years to date, the Red Hill team and children have been Wandering and Wondering beyond their gates to engage with their local community, explore their surrounding wild spaces, and learning how to care for Country.
Connecting with each other, and the community, Renee advocates for the needs of Educators, children, and implementing Change.
