Close community, nature, and family life for educators in Tasmania
Kadie Cunningham, Assistant Director of Goodstart Kings Meadows, moved back for a better life.
Nestled in the heart of a thriving community on Bunurong Country, near Casey Fields, our early learning centre offers a warm, inclusive, and family-focused environment for children from nursery to kindergarten.
Families love the sense of belonging that comes from our diverse, multicultural community and long-serving educators who bring years of experience and care to every interaction.
Through play-based programs, meaningful partnerships with families, and a strong focus on inclusion, children are supported to grow, learn, and thrive from six weeks to school age.

At Goodstart Cranbourne East, our philosophy centres around the belief that every child is a unique individual with their own interests and strengths. We embrace a play-based learning approach that nurtures curiosity and creativity, allowing children to explore their world in meaningful ways.
We prioritise:
Through our philosophy, we aim to create a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive and become confident, capable learners.
Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children. Your child will have at least one educator (their key educator) who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them.
Our Key Educator relationships help children form secure attachments. Educators work closely with smaller groups and individual children to better understand each child. These relationships lead to improved outcomes for children as we foster more communication between families and educators.
We inform families regularly about their child's progress and welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.
At our Cranbourne East centre, we're proud to inspire your child's love of learning with the support of our passionate and qualified early childhood experts. Teachers with bachelor's degrees run our three and four-year-old kindergarten program, so children can be well on their way to excellent learning outcomes by the time they start school.
At Goodstart, we believe all children deserve the best possible start in life, which includes access to high-quality early childhood education and care. We offer:
We work closely with parents to ensure the individual needs, interests and strengths of children are considered, and our learning goals reflect them. Using Storypark, a wonderful communication platform, we stay in close touch with families and ensure you're well informed about your child's development and achievements.

I began my career in early childhood education and care in 2013 and hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. I’ve been part of the Goodstart family for nearly 11 years now and have enjoyed every moment of this rewarding journey.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with children across all age groups and collaborate with a wide range of educators and professionals in the sector. These experiences have deepened my understanding of child development and strengthened my commitment to high-quality early learning.
My Early Learning Values
I strongly believe that a child’s early experiences in education should be positive and meaningful, as they lay the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. Creating a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive environment is at the heart of everything I do.
My Role as Centre Director
As Centre Director, I am passionate about leading and empowering a team of educators to deliver quality learning outcomes for all children. I also value building strong partnerships with families and strengthening our ties within the local community.
What I Love About Our Community
I am proud to be part of a diverse and vibrant community. I strive to create a space where all families and children feel welcomed, respected, and supported—regardless of cultural background or life experience.
A Little About Me
I am a proud mum of two boys, aged 12 and 7. As both a parent and educator, I understand the importance of providing a safe, secure, and stimulating environment where children feel confident to explore, learn, and express themselves. I am dedicated to forming meaningful relationships with every child and family in our care.
I look forward to meeting you all in person and working together to give your child the best start in life.
Warm regards,
Jasleen Kaur
