Goodstart centres
Inside, all of the rooms - from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning; and we are focused on ensuring the children are ready to take that all important step up to school.
Our Storypark platform, as well as regular family nights and emailed newsletters, enable us to stay in close contact with parents and families, ensuring open and clear communication. This also means we can tailor each program to the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths – as well as the strong level of cultural diversity in our centre.
Outside, we have age appropriate play spaces and equipment, all geared to enhance the children’s awareness of their surrounds and the greater environment, as well as their understanding of the importance of sustainability. Our two yards have sandpits, swings, a mud pit, vege patch, worm farm, bark pits, bike track, dry creek bed and heaps of shade.
We also have a cook on premises five days a week and we provide breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack. The meals that we provide are healthy and nutritious and we also cater for children who have allergies to certain foods.
A major focus for our centre is how working with the broader community can help us enrich the children’s learning experience. We strive to work in partnership with families to build strong community members in an interactive learning environment.
Through visits to the centre as well as excursions and participation in community events, we are able to deepen the relationship between the centre and the community, while teaching the children about being a contributing and active member of society.
Come in and see for yourself how we can help give your child the best start in life – and give you peace of mind! We would love the chance to show you around.

Precious Abalos
I hold a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Teaching and I bring over seven years of experience in early childhood education across both private and nonprofit services in Victoria. During this time, I’ve worked as an Early childhood teacher and as part of Centre leadership team at another Goodstart service.
I’m passionate about creating inclusive, nurturing, and high-quality learning environments where every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to thrive. I look forward to building strong partnerships with families and the community as we work together to give every child the best possible start in life.
My Early Learning values:
I believe that when children feel safe, valued, and supported in their early years, they develop the confidence and curiosity needed to thrive throughout their learning journey.
A little more about me:
I’m a new mum to a little boy, which has given me a fresh perspective on early childhood development and the importance of creating safe, engaging spaces for young learners. I love spending time with my family and discovering new experiences—whether it’s exploring nature, trying new activities, or simply enjoying special moments together. These experiences inspire how I connect with children and families in my work.
Why your child should spend the day with me (and the amazing team at Goodstart Drouin:
At Goodstart Drouin, we’re a small, close-knit learning community where children feel safe, supported, and known. Our team is committed to continually improving our environment and delivering high-quality, tailored educational programs. We value strong relationships and provide a warm, welcoming space where every child can grow, learn, and thrive.
I look forward to welcoming you and your family.
