While we’ll soon be closing the doors of our current Early Learning Centre, we want to take a moment to celebrate the many memories, friendships, and milestones shared in our beloved space over the years. Every laugh, every learning moment, and every connection made here has helped shape the amazing community we are so proud of today.
We’re thrilled to share that we’ll be relocating* to a stunning, purpose-built facility opening in early 2026. This exciting move marks the next chapter in our commitment to providing the very best early learning environment for our children, families, and educators. Our new centre has been thoughtfully designed with modern learning spaces, natural outdoor play areas, and everything needed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and growth.
As part of this transition, all currently enrolled families will be invited to move across once construction is complete and we receive service approval from the Department of Education.
Every family will be supported every step of the way, with a smooth transition process into the new centre once it opens.
We can’t wait to welcome you and many new families to our beautiful new home — a place built with care, connection, and a shared vision for giving every child the best possible start in life, while cherishing the memories we’ve made together at our old centre.
*Opening is subject to service approval from the Department of Education. Once approval is received, families will be invited to tour our brand-new centre.

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Pascoe Vale - Cumberland Road West is a standalone kindergarten that caters for children from 4 to 5 years old. We are located about 9kms from the CBD and while we are in a commercial area we enjoy the convenience of being close to residential areas, schools and community amenities.
We are a small centre in which we encourage children to engage in their new learning environment and building a trusting relationship with educators; this is by providing a creative stimulating and enriching environment for learning based on the Early Years Learning framework.
Inside, our rooms are geared to experience and play-based learning and we work closely with parents to ensure the child’s individual needs, interests and strengths are integrated into their learning program. Our Storypark platform is a key part of the communication process, enabling us to stay in touch with parents and share their children’s development and learning milestones.
We believe that collaborating and having respectful relationships with families is crucial, especially as children are central to everything that we do. So too, our relationship with the broader community, which we tap into to enhance the learning experience.
Outside we have a stimulating and fun environment with tan bark play areas, sand pits, shade, bike paths and lots of beautiful trees.
Lots play leads to hungry tummies so from our kitchen comes a delicious menu of meals – and special dietary requirements are catered for.
I have been working in this for just over 14 years. I have worked across numerous age groups, as an assistant and room leader and developed myself As an ECT in the Kinder room. I have also worked as an Educational Leader since 2021 and assisted my team to deliver high quality program where every child thrives for success.
As the Centre Director at Goodstart Pascoe Vale Cumberland Road West, my personal philosophy is rooted in a deep commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment where children can thrive. I believe that the foundation of effective early childhood education lies in the following principles:
1. Child-Centered Approach: I view each child as a unique individual with their own interests, strengths, and potential. It is my responsibility to create an environment that is responsive to their needs and encourages their curiosity and creativity.
2. Empowerment through Relationships: I am passionate about building strong, trusting relationships with both children and families. I believe that when children feel safe and secure, they are more willing to explore and learn. Engaging with families as partners in their child's education enhances the learning experience and supports a sense of community.
3. Quality and Continuous Improvement: High-quality early childhood education is essential for children's development. I am dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence within our centre, encouraging staff collaboration and professional growth. By reflecting on our practices and seeking feedback, we can continually improve our programs and the experiences we offer.
4. Play as the Heart of Learning: I believe that play is fundamental to children's learning and development. I advocate for providing rich, engaging, and stimulating environments where children can explore, experiment, and develop critical thinking skills through play.
5. Diversity and Inclusion: I am committed to embracing diversity in all its forms and ensuring that our centre is a welcoming space for all families. By valuing different cultures, perspectives, and abilities, we create a richer learning environment that benefits everyone.

In my role as Centre Director, I am dedicated to leading by example, promoting a positive, collaborative atmosphere that encourages everyone to contribute to our vision of high-quality early childhood education. Together, we can support every child's journey towards lifelong learning and success.

Our early learning centre offers a Government-funded kindergarten program and long day care under the one roof. Our kindergarten teachers are University qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.
