As an Early Childhood Teacher, my aim is to provide opportunities for children to explore, learn, and grow holistically, supporting their mental, physical, and emotional well-being during these critical early years.

My name is Lilly, and I’m originally from Korea and I have been in the early childhood industry for over 10 years.

I believe every day in a child’s life is special and significant. To make these moments meaningful, I am committed to building strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and my colleagues.

Children learn by observing, listening, and mimicking the adults around them, so I understand the vital role educators play as positive role models.

I am passionate about collaborating with families to share insights and support children’s development. Parents are the most influential people in a child’s life, so fostering a strong partnership is essential. Together, we can create a culturally safe, inclusive, and secure environment for our Goodstart East Perth children.

A safe and supportive environment—both physically and emotionally—helps children develop confidence, a sense of belonging, and agency. This foundation enables children to engage deeply with their learning and personal interests, preparing them to build social connections and interact meaningfully with others.

I love working with children because it allows me to be a child again—singing songs, dancing, painting, crafting, and building busy little worlds. I also love watching children grow and develop. I feel honoured to be part of their precious milestones—their first steps, first words, and the excitement of starting school.
