Families receive a good start to the Christmas season
Hundreds of children and families will delight in the magic of Christmas morning and will sit down to a substantial meal thanks to the generosity of Goodstart staff and families.
For the past few weeks, teams throughout Goodstart have been preparing hampers laden with food, gifts and Christmas fare to give to the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland’s Christmas hamper drive.
It is the eighth year in a row Goodstart has been involved in the initiative which ensures hundreds of families have a memorable Christmas.
Goodstart Area Manager Narelle Robinson coordinated the effort and said it was a wonderful opportunity for the organisation to show its ongoing support to St Vincent de Paul Society and help vulnerable families celebrate the festive season.
“Every year, our staff and families go above and beyond to help those struggling this Christmas,” Narelle said.
“We are delighted to once again be part of such an important appeal which we know brings some joy and comfort to what can be a difficult time of year for many families.”
Each year St Vinnies are approached by tens of thousands of people seeking assistance and the hamper drive means those most in need of help, receive it.
