New year surprise for children at Bray Park

New year surprise for children at Bray Park

New play equipment, a dedicated arts and crafts area and a bush tucker garden are all features of a centre renovation at Goodstart Bray Park - Elmwood Drive.

After closing for a month, the centre has just opened its doors to show off the play are which also includes a digging patch and floor resurfacing.

Centre director Gina Kerr said the centre’s extensive outdoor areas and the high quality early learning program offered at the centre was a huge drawcard for families in the local community.

“Our recent upgrade has breathed a new lease of life into the centre. As well as the significant overhaul of our outdoor play areas, our indoor learning environments have also been rejuvenated with a fresh paint job and new room layouts,” Ms Kerr said.

“The upgrade is already a huge hit with children and families and allows us to provide a more enriching and inviting environment to encourage fun play-based learning outcomes for children across age groups.”

As centre director, Ms Kerr brings tremendous experience and passion to her role having worked in the early learning sector for nearly 30 years with seven of those years spent as a director.

“Our centre has a fabulous family atmosphere with a dedicated team of educators, many of who have worked at the centre for a number of years. Goodstart places a high emphasis of professional development so our staff are actively involved in ongoing training and development to ensure we are embedding best practice into our programs to the benefit of every child,” she said.

“We also have a wonderful qualified early childhood teacher who has been with Goodstart for six years and are proud to offer a focus on multi-cultural activities within our program with children having the opportunity to learn about other cultures and languages.”

Goodstart Bray Park is a 65-place centre and is accepting enrolments in its toddler, pre-kindy and kindergarten programs. All rooms across every age group have dedicated outdoor areas. Families wishing to arrange a tour of the newly upgraded facilities should contact the centre.
