Today, both not-for-profit organisations are excited to announce Goodstart’s National Safe Work and Wellbeing Manager, Kylie Warren-Wright, will join the Board of Play Australia in January 2017 for a three-year term.
Mrs Warren-Wright has been with Goodstart since 2010 and leads the Safe Work and Wellbeing Unit, a team comprised of nearly 20 safety and injury management professionals.
“It is a great privilege to join Play Australia’s Board and work alongside such a dedicated and outstanding leadership team. It will be a professional highlight for me to able to contribute to the organisation’s strategic business goals,” Mrs Warren-Wright said.
“My passion is to create opportunities for children to safely experience and manage day-to-day risks as part of their play and learning, so I’m excited by what we will be able to achieve together by taking a fresh and diverse approach to increasing play opportunities for children and young people.”
Play Australia President Sharon Sykes said she was delighted to welcome Mrs Warren-Wright to the Board of Play Australia.
“As we continue to grow Play Australia nationally, we welcome the commitment of Goodstart to the promotion of quality play across the country. We also look forward to the opportunity to further develop our membership base and activity in Queensland,” she said.
Ms Warren Wright's innovative approach to safety, rehabilitation and infectious disease management in the early learning sector has generated significant interest from regulatory bodies who recognise the policies and programs that she has implemented across the Goodstart network as industry leading.
