Nearly a million Australian families will be able to access more affordable childcare from July next year.
The Senate has agreed to support the Government’s $1.6 B boost for childcare which will create a simpler, single child care subsidy.
The reforms should see most working couples about $30 a week better off.
There’s also guaranteed funding for Indigenous, rural, remote and mobile services which is vital.
Unfortunately, the Government did not heed the call to ensure children had 15 hours of early learning each week, but Goodstart will work with our families to ensure children will get as much benefit as possible from the 12 hours they will receive under the changes.
