About our centre

Welcome to Goodstart Early Learning Mawson Lakes Elder Drive. Our child care centre is a beautiful, clean, colourful and bright purpose built centre, which is fully equipped to provide the best quality care for your child.

We also boast great convenience being only a short distance from the Salisbury Highway and within walking distance of the Mawson Lakes interchange. Our educators are fully trained and extremely passionate about providing a warm, safe and nurturing environment for your child.

At Goodstart Mawson Lakes Elder Drive, your child’s learning and happiness are our priority. We aim to provide a fun and stimulating program that encourages curiosity and exploration. We provide a wide range of experiences to help your child learn and grow.

Throughout the year we host a range of special events to bring the families and educators together, and invite members of the community to come and speak with the children. Visitors include the local Fire Brigade, Police Officers, and librarian from the Mawson Lakes Library, Defence Force personnel, and representatives from the local RSL talking to the children about ANZAC Day.

Every year we celebrate our diverse families and hold a multicultural night, were families can come and celebrate their cultures. This has now been running for 5 years and is something our community look forward to.

We encourage family participation at all levels from volunteering in the rooms reading stories, to cooking experiences, to coming together for Sports Days, Grandparent's Day and our annual Christmas party.

Georgina Karipidis

Centre Director

My name is Georgina Karipidis and I am the Centre Director here at Goodstart Mawson Lakes Elder Drive. I have been a part of Goodstart Early Learning since 2008.

I completed my Diploma in Community Services in 2001. I am very excited and happy to be the Centre Director here, and proud to have been a part of opening Goodstart Early Learning Mawson Lakes Elder Drive and building our strong and dedicated team of educators. My goal is to ensure that our child care centre is a safe, friendly and welcoming environment for all families.

I believe it is the responsibility of the carer to maintain a safe, healthy, consistent, caring, loving, exciting and organised environment. I believe children should be given opportunities and encouragement to reach their full potential in all aspects of their development.
